According to the National Association of REALTORS, existing-home sales in July 2026 dipped 1.7% from the previous month, but we saw a 0.7% increase compared to last year, reaching an annual rate of 4.06 million. Inventory edged down a bit to 1.54 million homes, while the median price climbed 2.0% to $434,100. Mortgage rates averaged 6.54% during this period, and encouragingly, affordability improved nationwide.<\/p>\n
